The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development approved a landmark US$2.5M financing facility to help Parahat upgrade its production lines, improve energy efficiency, and expand capacity: the first EBRD investment in a Turkmen food manufacturer.
Growing international demand sees Parahat products shipped to retail and wholesale partners across the CIS region and into Europe for the first time.
A second Tetra Pak investment brings ultra-high-temperature dairy processing to Turkmenistan for the first time, enabling shelf-stable milk and yogurt drinks without refrigeration.
Parahat became one of the first Turkmen food producers to earn ISO 22000 certification, an international standard covering the full food safety management chain from raw material to finished product.
Parahat signs an agreement with Tetra Pak to launch aseptic juice production in Turkmenistan.
